Investigators is a program for 1st and 2nd grade students. The Investigators program provides families with an exciting curriculum in history, geography, language arts, and science. The history study will be chronological based on a four year rotating schedule with corresponding geography. In 2017-2018 the students will be studying modern history with a focus on U.S geography. The language arts block will focus on the phonetic basis of the English language with spelling and reading, as well as a study of English grammar. A literature component will incorporate some favorite childhood books designed to be read aloud. These students embark on exploring our world in the field of science by using the Apologia Exploring Creation series.
Class time will be used to introduce and review material, create projects, share, and learn through hands-on activities. Weekly lesson plans will be provided for you to follow at home. Students will be given the opportunity to practice oral presentation skills throughout the year.
**Classes are subject to change due to registration requirements.
